Cool down the yummy way with this delicious treat.
Makes: 8 ice lollies
Preparation time: 20 minutes, plus freezing time
You’ll need:
- 500g strawberries, rinsed
- 200g sugar
- 250ml water
- 8 sucker sticks
Instructions:
- Place the strawberries in a blender and whiz until smooth.
- Put the sugar in water in a pot and stir over mild heat until it has dissolved. Bring to the boil and simmer for five minutes. Allow to cool.
- Mix 180ml of the cooled sugar syrup with the strawberry puree, pour it into ice lolly moulds and put a stick in it to freeze.
Tip: You can select a variety of fruit to make your ice lollies – mango, berries, apricots, peaches and litchis are all suitable.
