A party with a purpose: The Ross Taylor Benefit Surf Contest

From the 10th to the 11th of August the beaches and waves of Buffalo Bay, Knysna, will be packed with surfers and beach-goers as they gather to commemorate the life of Ross Taylor. An ardent surfing enthusiast, Ross succumbed to cancer at the age of 29, but his legacy continues thanks to the Ross Taylor Benefit Surf Contest. This charity event donates all its proceeds to HOSPICE (Ross’ charity of choice). The event hopes to build on last year’s success when the competition officially became the country’s largest entered surfing event, attracting 215 contestants and raising R70 000.

The surf contest / beach bash promises to be great fun with live bands, great prizes, an auction and loads more.
