Don't forget Decorex Cape Town!

One of the most anticipated design fairs is here again and will be underway in the Mother City from 26-29 April 2012. This year’s Decorex Cape Town show promises an exclusive interior design experience, along with exciting free demos and workshops and an array of delicious pop-up cafés and restaurants where you can relax and recharge.

This year there will be another must-see pop-up feature – the Decorex Designer Collection, a homeware range by local artisans that will showcase memorable design talent in a multitude of mediums. Inspired by ‘the relaxed South African style of entertaining’, the pared-down range will include a show-stopping collection in clay, porcelain, turned wood, recycled glass and natural textiles, all in calming indigo, grey, turquoise and neutral tones. Senior project and brand manager, Nika Smit, says ‘This range, exclusive to Decorex SA, benefits local designers with a valuable, very visible platform; it also gives show visitors – who love to shop for smaller, yet high quality decor items – access to carefully sourced pieces to buy on the spot. Further good news is that the special show prices give cash-strapped collectors of beautiful things access to on-trend homeware of the highest quality!’ The featured designers will include Anthony Shapiro, Wendy McLachlan, Lisa Firer, Di Marshal, Laid Back Co, Goet, Design Team, Heather Moore, Ngwenya Glass, and Recycled Timber Products.

Visit Decorex Cape Town on 26 – 29 April 2012, at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, between 10am and 7pm (closes at 6pm on 29 April). Tickets are priced as follows: R65 for adults, R55 for pensioners and students, and R10 for children under 12. For more details go to decorex.co.za, become a fan on Facebook or follow them on Twitter @decorexSA.
