After a break in 2011 the Indigenous Open Gardens Show is back with a 6 gardens all of exceptional quality and spread across the Upper Highway area
This is a flagship project for Kloof Conservancy and attracts thousands of visitors to the gardens on show. The show is used by the Conservancy to demonstrate to residents the attractiveness and benefits of indigenous planting and consequently the show is a major contributor to the protection of the area's bio-diversity.
The Indigenous Open Gardens is run by volunteers from the Kloof Conservancy and other nearby Conservancies who give their time as their contribution to protecting our environment.
The show runs from 9h00 to 17h00 on both days.
All funds raised are used in Kloof Conservancy projects. See the Kloof Conservancy projects page for a list of projects.
Tickets for the show can be purchased in advance at the local SPAR stores - Kloof, Hillcrest and Waterfall Superspars and cost R 40 per person. No charge for children under 12. This ticket entitles you to enter all 6 gardens as well as tea and cake at the Tea Garden at Forest View Primary School.
Tickets will also be on sale at the entrance to each garden.
